Nilotinib, marketed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation under the propriety name Tasigna, is a targeted therapy drug classified as a protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor.  Nilotinib is used for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myelogenous leukemia that is refractory or intolerant to prior therapy, including imatinib.
